The suspects stole $2,300 in cash and the victim's car, according to a police report.
Masked bandits stormed a Jersey City apartment early this morning, stabbed a man twice in the leg, and made off with $2,300 in cash and the victim's car, according to a police report.
Just after midnight, two men entered a basement apartment on Van Reipen Avenue, police said.
When the 52-year-old man noticed the two men, both with their faces covered, they grabbed his girlfriend, 26, at knife point and stated "tell me where the money is or I'm going to kill this b----," the report stated.
The one suspect released the woman, and then stabbed the man twice in the right leg causing deep lacerations, police said.
The man told his girlfriend to show the men where the money was. The two suspects then took off with $2,300 in cash and the victim's car keys, the report stated.
Police said there were numerous bloody footprints found inside the apartment as a result of the victim's injuries. The suspects made unforced entry to the unit, the report indicated.
The suspects left the scene in the victim's gray Jeep Cherokee Loredo. They were last seen traveling east towards Summit Avenue, police said.
The male victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health with non-life threatening injuries. His girlfriend was not injured, the report stated.
