The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene
File photo of Lawrence Police Department vehicle. LAWRENCE -- A motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a BMW Tuesday afternoon in Lawrence.
The motorcycle and car crashed at the intersection of Quaker Bridge and Lawrence Station roads at 4:42 p.m., police said.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene. The names of the drivers were not immediately released, pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation by Lawrence police and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Serious Collision Unit.
