The holiday display has been dazzling Bergen County for four years
The brilliant home holiday attraction known as Christmas on Vanore has won an NJ.com poll for best seasonal light display in New Jersey.
This month, the architect of the display, Marc DeSomma, submitted a photo of lights, which are located at 38-53 Vanore Drive in Fair Lawn, to our call for the best N.J. holiday lights. The photo won 36 percent, or 5,232 votes of 14,536 votes cast in the poll.
In his submission, DeSomma wrote that the Bergen County display (see video below), which has a light-striped roof, large light fixture draped like a Christmas tree and arches of light at the front walkway, is in its fourth year and boasts more than 19,000 lights.
The display is synced to a series of songs including music from N.J.'s own Frank Sinatra and the Ramones. If that isn't enough cheer for you, there are also singing Christmas trees.
The musical sequences run 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Visitors can tune in to 88.9 FM on their radios to listen.
Lots of great people!
