CLINTON TWP. -- With heavy smoke pouring from the home just minutes after their arrival, firefighters worked for three hour to battle a house fire on Rossi Drive Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters were first called to the home at 3 p.m. Tuesday, and the smoke condition quickly escalated, however, no one was reported injured.
The fire was extinguished shortly after 6 p.m., and as of 6:30 p.m. Clinton Township Police and detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office remained at the scene.

Responding to the fire were Clinton Township police; Annandale Hose Company; the Clinton, High Bridge, Lebanon Borough, Quakertown and Califon fire departments; Hunterdon County Tanker Task Force; Clinton Rescue Squad; Hunterdon County Fire and EMS Coordinators; Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office; and the State Fire Marshals Office.
