Cupid's Undie Run in Philadelphia helped raise more than $200,000 for neurofibromatosis research.

PHILADELPHIA -- Luckily for the runners taking part in Cupid's Undie Run in South Philadelphia, Saturday was unseasonably warm. If it wasn't for that, they wouldn't have had much to shield themselves from colder weather.

Cupid's Undie Run was started in Washington, D.C., in 2010 to raise money for neurofibromatosis (NF), a condition that causes tumors to form on nerve tissue.

In the not-exactly competitive run, the participants ran from behind XFinity Live! and down Pattison Avenue toward Broad Street before turning around and finishing at about the same spot they began.

Organizers said they raised more than $200,000 through the Philadelphia event. The group donates to the Children's Tumor Foundation, a leading NF research group. Since 2010, they've donated about $8 million to the foundation.
