A forest fire spanned more than 300 acres in Woodland Thursday.
WOODLAND TOWNSHIP -- About 350 acres of forest were ablaze Thursday night as firefighters worked to keep the fire away from homes, WABC 6 in Philadelphia reported.
The large conflagration is centered on Baptist and Old Tuckerton roads and was being handled by New Jersey Forest Fire Service crews.
Brush and forest fires have burned across the state in recent days, including a 50-acre fire largely contained by early Thursday in Evesham.
Woodland contains part of the Pinelands Preservation Area, a region of pristine woods, lakes and waterways.
