Officers saw the Toyota 4Runner traveling near Rt. 23 north and Alps Road around 2:30 p.m. and pulled it over for a broken windshield, Martin said. The driver, Michele Moran, 43, was known to police from prior investigations and was wanted on a $500 West Milford warrant, Martin added.

After arresting Moran, police conducted a search and found 100 bags of heroin stamped "Ducati" as well as a bottle containing marijuana, Martin also said.

Moran was charged with possession of marijuana and heroin as well as distribution of heroin before being turned over to West Milford police. She was also issued a motor-vehicle summons for the cracked windshield.
