Donald Crawford, 56, of Carroll Street, is charged with three counts of burglary and related theft charges.
TRENTON -- Police have charged a city man committing three recent burglaries in downtown Trenton.
Donald Crawford, 56, of Carroll Street, is charged with stealing a snowblower and generator from the Word Alive Center church (formerly Word To the World Ministry) on West Front Street on June 4, Detective Lt. Rolando Ramos said.
The heist was caught on the church's surveillance cameras, Ramos said.
On June 8, Crawford swiped a pressure washer from a business on East State Street and sold it to a pawn shop in downtown Trenton, Ramos said.
Police did not catch up to Crawford until after he stole a pressure washer and leaf blower from the Wyndham Garden Trenton hotel on Lafayette Street on Friday, June 10.
Crawford also pawned the items, but police who work the bike patrol downtown - Officer Herbert Flowers and Walter Rivera - were on alert due to the burglaries and apprehended him a short time later, Ramos said.
Detective Charles Steever charged Crawford with three counts of burglary and related theft counts.
