Cash and phone cards stolen from Vineland shop, cops say

The burglar took $110 in cash and $300 in phone cards.

VINELAND -- City police are looking for a thief that broke into a Chestnut Avenue business and stole cash and phone cards, police said.

The burglary occurred Tuesday around 12:15 a.m. at El Oaxaqueno Mexican Store on the 600 block of East Chestnut Avenue. Police were notified by a 911 call about a man breaking the glass and getting into the store.

Bridgeton police investigate shooting

Arriving police officers found the broken front door window and the store in disarray. The cash register was open and a shelf near the register was knocked over. Several drawers around the register were also open.

The burglar stole $110 in cash and $300 in phone cards. The burglary is under investigation.
