The person, identified only as an adult male, was struck around 10:15 p.m. near the Anderson Street station and later transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, a spokeswoman for NJ Transit told NJ Advance Media. The arm was also taken to Hackensack, NorthJersey.com reported.

None of the 200 passengers and crew aboard the train, the 1645 from Hoboken bound for Spring Valley, N.Y., were injured. Buses were used to transport passengers as NJ Transit police conducted an investigation.
