The Bayonne Historical Society is hosting Antiques and Collectibles Appraisal Day Saturday as part of its history fair at the Bayonne Community Museum Saturday.
The Bayonne Historical Society is hosting an Antiques and Collectibles Appraisal Day Saturday as part of its Historical Fair at the Bayonne Community Museum Saturday.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the appraisals will be done from by Bob West, Leslie Levine and others, for a donation of $3 per item, or $10 for 4 items. The museum is located at Ninth Street and Broadway.
The Historical Society will also host a two-hour bus tour of Bayonne landmarks from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The bus will leave from the museum. For bus tour tickets, please contact Lee Fahley at 201-436-5978. Otherwise, reservations must be made online through the Hoboken Museum website.
Another Historical Society activity will be an art exhibit -- "Bayonne: From Bay to Bay - The Age of Sail" -- featuring the works of maritime artists John A. Noble and Frederic S. Cozzens. There will be a ribbon-cutting for the exhibit at 1:30 p.m.
At 2 p.m., Erin Urban, executive director of the Noble Maritime Collection at Sailors' Snug Harbor, will talk about her years of work with the Noble collection.
