JERSEY CITY -- A 22-year-old man walked into a Jersey City hospital just before midnight last night seeking treatment after a bullet grazed his face, according to city police.

The 22-year-old, whose injury wasn't life-threatening, was uncooperative with police and told officers who responded to the hospital that he was shot at Union Street and Ocean Avenue, police said.

No crime scene could be found in that area, police said.

The victim did not contact police after the incident, instead going to Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health in a vehicle with a friend, police said.

Police said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
