5 N.J. residents nabbed for shoplifting from Boscov's, police say

Authorities arrested five Cumberland County residents for shoplifting from the Boscov's located on South Delsea Drive.

MILLVILLE -- Authorities arrested five Cumberland County residents for shoplifting from the Boscov's located on South Delsea Drive.

Authorities responded to the Boscov's on Oct. 19 at 12:14 a.m. after the store's loss prevention reported a shoplifting incident.

Victoria Taylor, 27, Laxmen Taylor, 32, Margaret Demore, 28, Ciara Hoover, 23, all of Millville, and Deirae Decamp, 31, of Newport, were charged with shoplifting clothing estimated to cost $969, according to police.

Demore and Decamp were observed hiding merchandise in bags they brought with them into the store, police said.

Both Demore and Decamp exited the store and unloaded the items they allegedly stole into a parked car in the lot.

Decamp then gave the merchandise she took to Hoover who passed on the merchandise to Victoria and Laxman Taylor, according to police.

Police reported that the Taylor's attempted to return the merchandise in the store for a refund.

During her arrest, Victoria Taylor was found in possession of narcotics, police said, and was released on a summons pending further court action.

Laxmen Taylor and Demore were also charged on an outstanding warrant out of the Cumberland County Superior Court and held at the county jail.

Demore and Hoover were processed and released, pending further court action.
