Christine Lentz, 53, of Woodbine, was indicted by a grand jury on charges of official misconduct, computer criminal activity and theft. She faces three to five years in prison on the theft charge and between five and ten years on the other charges.

Lentz, who had also served as athletic director, allegedly accessed Kathleen Taylor's emails on a number of occasions between April and June. She retired on July 1, about a month before she was charged in the case.

In September, Lentz filed a notice of tort claim announcing she was contemplating a lawsuit against the school district. In that claim, Lentz said she may seek up to $2 million for discrimination she said she experienced after school officials learned of her same-sex marriage in August 2013.

Lentz worked at the school for 30 years.
