American Red Cross responds to Salem County following house blaze.
PENNS GROVE -- A blaze ripped through a Salem County home Tuesday afternoon, leaving seven people displaced, fire officials confirmed.
The fire broke out between 3 and 3:30 p.m. at a residence located off Tyrone Avenue.
While the cause of the blaze is still under investigation, fire officials suspect it was an electrical fire that started in one of the rear bedrooms, according to Fire Chief Adam Hartsough.
American Red Cross responded to assist the seven residents displaced by the fire.
No injuries were reported. Officials believe the house can be salvaged.
Reliance, Deepwater, Carneys Point, and neighboring fire companies also assisted on the scene.
